Last week, I launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to try and raise funds to get my book, Jill’s Rules, finished and out there in the world. I’m working with a ghostwriter and an editor to put my story in words because I want to help people who are currently suffering from anorexia and their friends and family members. But paying for this project is taking its toll.
So, basically, I want your money.
That’s the kind of help I’m looking for, so I might as well cut to the chase.
I would love for you to visit my Indiegogo campaign, look at the rewards (I have some great ones up there!), and help me to pay for this project so I can get it done faster, and get my book out in the world sooner. And it’s not just that I want to be rich and famous (although that would be nice …), but the sooner my book is finished, the sooner I can help others who need it.
Eventually, my goal would be to speak publicly about my story to other survivors, youth currently recovering from anorexia, and their families.
Trust me, I don’t like doing this … asking for help. I’ve never been great at asking for help. Probably something to do with being the third child. But I’m reaching out today to see if you will give me a hand, and if you do, I will be ever grateful.
